Amir Khan v Lamont Peterson
Last month Amir Khan fought Lamont Peterson in what proved to be one of the most controversial fights of recent years. Khan’s career had been on an upward curve for a number of years after some noteable victories against some tough opponents. A victory over Peterson would have almost guaranteed Khan a fight with the living legend from the South East Asia Manny Paquiao, arguably the best fighter on the planet today. However all did not go to plan for Khan, and Peterson despite being knocked down early on gave Khan a tremendous battle that was to go the full distance.
During the fight however many experts felt that Kahn had done more than enough to get the decision from the judges. There was to be a shock though as the decision was given to Peterson. This has since been questioned as allegations of fixing have emerged, and Peterson has been ordered to face Khan once again, meaning he must start his Boxing Training to prepare for the second fight later this year .
